Green Bean Casserole Recipe

This Green Bean Casserole Recipe is the perfect traditional side to serve with any hearty meal! It consists of cut green beans, cream of mushroom, Worcestershire and french fried onions!

If you’re looking for an easy, but super traditional Green Bean Casserole, then look no further! This recipe is the perfect side to any hearty weekday meal or holiday party!

CLASSIC GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE

I know there are a lot of different versions of green bean casseroles out there and I’ve tried a lot of them! And although a lot of them are delicious, I still can’t find one that I like as much as this traditional green bean casserole that my mama always made!

This is the perfect side to almost any good dinner, but it is a MUST at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner! So, get this on the menu right away for your next upcoming dinner or Holiday meal!

HOW TO MAKE A GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE

Clean, trim and cut the green beans into halves or thirds, depending on their size.

Boil the green beans until fully cooked (al dente, not too soft).

Add the cooked green beans into a  medium-large bowl. Then add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper and combine.

Then add 1 cup of the French Fried Onions and gently mix them into the mixture.

Grease a 1 1/2 qt casserole dish (approx a 9×13) and pour the green bean and sauce mixture into it.

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven and stir the mixture. Sprinkle it with the remaining French Fried Onions and bake 5 minutes longer or until the onions are golden brown.

  • 6 Cups Green Beans Cut and Cooked
  • 1.5 Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup (10 3/4 oz)
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1.5 tsp Soy Sauce
  • Dash of Pepper
  • 2 Cup French-Fried Onions divided

Instructions

Notes

This recipe can be made with canned green beans. However, in my opinion, it's much better when you use fresh green beans.
