My kids wanted to make a treat the other day, so I figured we’d make something Easter themed! And what screams Easter treats more than Peeps! Nada! So, today I’m sharing these fun Easter Peeps Rice Krispy Pops that we made the other day!

Last year I order a fun Easter Egg Mold and never got around to using it, so I knew I wanted to incorporate it. When I pulled out my bin that holds my molds, there were also some Lollipop Sticks in there. And then it hit me, let’s make some Easter Egg Rice Krispy Pops!

I started by grabbing Peeps in several colors! You can use either the 3 oz or 3.8 oz boxes of Bunnies or Chicks! So, just grab the colors you want to use!

Grab your mold and lightly grease it. You could also make fun layered Rice Krispy treats in a pan if you don’t have a mold!

I love the following Easter Molds:

Easter Egg Mold

Easter Bunny Mold

Chick Mold

Keep in mind that with Rice Krispy treats you make aren’t going to hold the texture and design of the mold in your finished treat. It will basically just take the shape of the mold. But, you can use the mold for chocolates or cakes and it works great!

Next you’re going to take one package of Peeps and 1 tablespoon butter and microwave it for 45 seconds.

When you open the microwave it will be all puffy. Then just take a spoon and mix it to a smooth texture and color.

Then you’ll add 1 1/2 cups of Rice Krispies and mix it all together. And then take the appropriate amount of sticky mixture and press it down into the mold! Push hard! Really make sure it’s taking the shape of the entire mold.

Being that I just had the one mold, I filled a spot (or two) in the mold of each color and then put the rest into a 8×8 glass pan to make regular Rice Krispy treats.

You’ll repeat this for each color that you want to do.

They only had to sit for like 15-20 minutes and then they popped right out of the mold.

I then carefully pushed the Lollipop Stick into the bottom of the egg rice krispy and then handed them over to my kiddos to decorate! My oldest took quite a bit of pride in his decorating!

We used simple Cake Mate Icing and Tips, Sugar Pearls, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, gels and more! Just grab some fun items off Amazon or at your local grocery store!

They turned out super fun and weren’t too much work! We weren’t trying to win a contest here people, just have a little fun!
